LA Auto Show 2015: The Return Of The Fiat 124 Spider & A New Star Wars Cast Member?

We know for sure that the new Fiat 124 Spider will be sold in North America as a 2017 model, but will we see the Fiat 500E make a cameo in the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

No, no we will not, that would be ridiculous. The film takes place long ago in a galaxy far, far away, where there are no Italians to build cute electric cars.

Also, we will not be seeing any Fiats (or other F.C.A.vehicles for that matter) in the final installment of another major film franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Despite the partnership between the film and the automaker, F.C.A. is currently running ads supporting the film because some Chrysler, Dodge, and RAM vehicles align with the spirit of the film. Huge missed opportunity as far as I’m concerned, as Effie Trinket would have looked quite at home behind the wheel of a 500 Gucci Edition.
