Pontiac GTO interior

Revel in the wonderful simplicity of the 1966 Pontiac GTO cockpit. The big horizontal two spoke steering wheel, the four on the floor shifter, the woodgrain dash, this is elegant American muscle at its finest! The GTO spawned many imitators during its initial run, but no other car was able to blend style and performance the way the GTO did. It is truly an example of a company getting it right the first time, and though the second generation is beloved by many, it lacks the restrained styling of the first. If you’re looking for a muscle car that is well suited for use beyond stoplight drag race antics, the ’64-’67 GTO is it.
