The 45th Anniversary Nissan GT-R is a loud vehicle, despite having a rather tame exhaust note. No, the loudness is visual with this particular twin-turbo V6, and it comes from the Gold premium paint that’s part of the anniversary package. You also get a gold tone VIN plate, commemorative interior plaque, and for an extra $250, some very plush floor mats with gold trimmed GT-R logos.
To balance out the loudness of this car, I decided to shoot it in as sterile a setting as I could find, the top floor of an old parking garage on a cloudy day. I was rather pleased with the raw results, and decided to take things a step further by applying VSco film packs in Adobe Lightroom. Kodak Portra 100T is a killer film, and one day I hope to have a medium format camera to maximize the fun I can have with it one day. In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy being able to apply looks digitally, and have maximum control over the mood of my photos.
