Of the many things that make the XC60 an attractive vehicle, most shoppers will note Volvo's legendary reputation for safety as being at the top of the list. While that may be the thing that gets many people interested, the unfussy styling both inside and out is what really sells me on the XC60.

Is the tech in the Audi better? Yes, absolutely, so you definitely need to take into consideration just how much you want the latest, and greatest infotainment system, because that's really what you're paying for. Volvo's Sensus system works well enough, it's not as pretty, but it gets the job done. Besides, what more do you really need in you car besides Bluetooth for streaming audio, and phone calls, and a map to use as a point of reference? Everything else is just icing on a cake that's sweet enough already.

People want to have their cake an eat it too, and giving SUVs a hybrid powertrain allows them to do just that by letting them drive in luxury, and save the planet at the same time. There's also the matter of instant torque, the aforementioned tax incentives, and lower annual fuel costs, but I'm sure it's mostly about doing their part to slow the runaway train that is global warming.
